Programme profile

Organisations are central in most activities in today's society: The production of goods and services are organised in private companies, in industries and in international networks; the political control over society is heavily dependent on administrative organisations; social benefits are supplied by a number of public organisations; and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) play an increasingly significant role in the shaping of society.

In this programme, you develop an understanding of how companies and other organisations are organised, of their core business, and of how their activities are interlinked with the surrounding society: in an ever more globalised world. Besides developing an understanding of the economic and organisational processes in an organisation, you develop practical skills that can be used when designing research projects, collecting data and analysing organisations. This is one of the very few degrees in Europe to offer an interdisciplinary approach to these two interlinked fields of study.
