This programme takes an innovative approach in that it combines business economics with other key disciplines including cultural and societal analysis, area and language studies, and interdisciplinary research methods. This multifaceted approach enables you to critically analyse modern business practices and problems as well as to understand the global dynamics that shape companies and organisations.

In the field of Business Administration and Economics students will look at Global Competition, large-scale relocation of the production of goods and services, and an emerging framework of global economic governance. In Cultural and Societal Analysis modules you will look at the many different contexts, in which today's companies or organisations operate.

Area and Language Studies is an integrated part of the courses that analyses the institutional dynamics of the English-, French-, German- or Spanish-speaking regions, you will learn to understand and deal with diversity and communicate in your chosen language.

Year 1: Microeconomics; Quantitative Business Research ; Globalisation Studies ; French, German or Spanish Studies;British and American Studies; Interdisciplinary Research Methods

Year 2: Electives / Study Abroad- in a French, German or Spanish speaking area; British and American Studies; International Economics and Competitiveness; French, German or Spanish Studies

Year 3: Corporate Finance; Business, Strategies and Stakeholder Impact; Organisation and Corporate Communication; Academic Writing ; Accounting - Financial Analysis; Interdisciplinary Research Methods; Culture, Economy and Organisation; Bachelor Project

Entry Requirements


General Certificate of Education with examination in 8 subjects where at least 3 are A-levels, alternatively 2 A-levels + 2 AS-levels. Subjects to include French, German or Spanish [At A Level] AND A/S Level Maths AND A/S Level Social Studies OR A/S Level Business OR  A/S Level History OR A/S Level Economics [or equivalent].

Leaving Certificate, showing at least 6 subjects of which at least 2 Higher Level subjects (at least Grade H5. Subjects to include Maths [Ord] and French, German or Spanish [at least H4] AND Social Studies subject OR Business OR History OR Economics [or equivalent].
