The Ovidius University of Constanta has 17,500 students studying on the following sixteen faculties: Literature; Theology; History & Political Sciences; Law & Administrative Sciences; natural Sciences; Physical Education & Sport;Chemistry, Physics & Oil Technology; Mathematics & Informatics; Economics; Medicine; Dental Medicine; Pharmacy; Mechanical, Industrial & Maritime Engineering; Construction; Arts; Psychology and Education Sciences.
The Faculty of Medicine was founded in 1990 and, since 1993, has offered teaching in English and French, at all levels. Currently there are over 200 foreign students, enrolled on the English language programme. The majority of students come from India, Sri Lanka, norway, Denmark, Sweden, France, Greece, USA, Great Britain and the Middle East.
