Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences

University of Applied Sciences

Leeuwarden , Velp

Netherlands

Profile

Van Hall Larenstein prides itself on being the most sustainable University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands.

It  has close connections to the international business world and NGO’s. This allows students to apply the theory into practice: besides obtaining highly valued work experience during internships abroad, students go on excursions at companies where they work on real life cases and we invite professionals over to give guest lectures.

VHL has over 4000 students and is home to over forty different nationalities. The lines of communication are short: students work in small classes with personal attention from the lecturers.

The university is based in two locations, Leeuwarden and Velp. The environmental friendly building in Leeuwarden has a green house on the roof. The modern building in Velp is located on the Larenstein Estate, surrounded by luscious greenery and only a few minutes away from the vibrant city centre of Arnhem.
