Programme profile
This programme includes pre-clinical subjects: anatomy, biochemistry, biophysics, physiology with cytophysiology, histology with embryology and basics of cell biology, microbiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, toxicology and many others as well as clinical subjects: internal medicine, paediatrics, surgery, gynaeology and obstetrics, psychiatry, family medicine, emergency medicine, neurology, oncology, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, infectious diseases and others.
Practical clinical teaching during 6th year (together with a summer internship, in 5th year, of six weeks in a specialty chosen by the student) includes courses in clinics or hospital wards in the areas such as:
- internal diseases
- pediatrics
- surgery
- gynecology and obstetrics
- psychiatry
- emergency medicine
- family medicine
- a specialty chosen by the student
The summer internship program should take place in such fields as:
- patient care
- open therapeutics (family doctor)
- first aid
- internal diseases
- intensive care
- pediatrics
- surgery
- gynecology and obstetrics
Fourth year students also have the opportunity for a four-week placement in Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA

Entry Requirements
Three A-Levels (inc. two from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths) and three GCSEs
Six passes at Leaving Certificate, inc 2 x H5. Subjects to include Biology OR Chemistry AND Physics OR Maths
