The challenges facing the modern automotive industry are enormous, as are the career opportunities. Mobility is changing rapidly. There is more need than ever for creative solutions that combine our mobility requirements with economical, sustainable, social and technical developments. Hybrid cars, zero-emission vehicles, increasingly tighter safety regulations. These are but some of the challenges facing the worldwide automotive industry. In order to keep up, the automotive industry has to employ highly educated young professionals on a global scale.

In this programme, you receive a solid grounding in relevant technical aspects, including mechanical engineering and chassis design. At the same time, you get thorough training in areas such as management and communication skills. On completion of the course, you will be able to design and test complete vehicles and components. You will also have the knowledge and skills to play a crucial role in the technical business development of the automotive sales sector.

Programme content


Year 1: Foundation Year

Year 2: Control engineering; Electrical systems; Materials science & strength of materials; Production; Combustion engines; Connection technology; Statistics; Practical: Diesel & LPG; Practical: EOBD; Practical: DC Motors; Test Engineering

Year 3: subjects focus on the professional tasks of the designer/tester, more specifically the automotive test engineer. Core subjects: Testing; Automotive Electronics; Fault analysis (EOBD); Mathematics; Cooperation and Communication.

There are five specialisations for students: Vehicle Technology, Powertrain,;
Structural Design, Manufacturing and Business Management

Year 4: Intelligent Vehicles; Internship; Bachelor's Thesis
