Programme profile
This programme prepares students for management careers in international companies and organisations. It provides students with a wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of business activities and methods. 70 of the 140 places available each year are allocated to international students.
In the 5th semester, participants choose a major in subjects like Marketing & Strategy, Finance & Accounting or Human Resource Management & Organization. The 6th semester is the international study semester and is spent at a partner university.
Obligatory internships give students the opportunity to build on the business knowledge and soft skills acquired during their studies.
Students are required to learn German and have the option of taking up a language, chosen from: Russian, Chinese, Spanish, French or Italian
There is a semester fee, for services, of Eur 327 per semester
This programme also has a February/March start date
Programme content
In studying this programme, you will be able to answer questions such as:.
- How do I manage a company?
- What skills and methods do I need to work in a managerial position in an international company?
- What do company divisions such as Marketing, Strategy, Finance, Leadership, Digital Business
or Economics deal with?
- What ethical and cultural aspects are important in the management of a company?
- How do I measure the “genuine“ corporate success of an internationally operating company
- Which instruments of marketing and sales do international companies use and how successful
are they?
- How do global players expand into international markets?
- What soft skills such as communication techniques, presentation techniques and intercultural
competence do I need to be successful as the manager of an international company?
Important components of the programme are:
- an internship semester
- study semester in university abroad
- internship thesis semester
- optional additional semester for the fast-track option: MBA/Master’s degree at a partner
university
Progression
The university doesn’t currently offer a related Masters programme, taught in English

3 A-levels, inc Maths
Six subjects at Leaving Certificate (inc 2 x H5, one of which must be Maths). At least one subject to be relevant to programme you are applying for.
IB students must present Higher Level Maths
