Programme profile

This programme has a strong focus on innovative information communication technology and sustainable management strategies and is the only undergraduate university degree of its kind in Central Europe.

MU’s faculty includes leading Austrian and international academics. Lectures and seminars delivered by scientists and professionals from abroad form an integral part of the curriculum. Courses on current trends in the industry keep students on top of recent developments. The wide variety of nationalities among faculty and students provide the basis for the exciting intercultural life on campus.

The curriculum develops the students’ academic, professional and personal skills. Promoting the spirit of enterprise, effective service delivery and responsible management are the cornerstones of the program. Sound academic educa-tion is perfectly combined with business-related training, for only a mind rooted in the real world can solve the cur-rent and future problems of the industry. Besides conveying a sense of service delivery and hospitality, the BBA pro-gram aims at preparing students for taking leading positions in the tourism and leisure industry worldwide, as well as to run their own businesses profitably.

After one year of comprehensive business education and a 4-6 month internship in the 4th semester at a national or international company, students have the chance to enhance their studies with subjects such as Event Management and e-Marketing. A special short track program is available for students transferring from other management or tourism-oriented programs.
