This highly innovative programme is aimed at students who plan to be leading this rapidly growing economic sector into the future.. Students can immediately apply the innovations and management skills which they have gained in the university environment to real-life situations.Fulltime instruction is blocked in two 11-week periods, the first from October through December and the second from April through June. The intermediary time should be used for employment within the field of tourism.

The programme aims to ensure that graduates recognise trends and develop alternative products for all the links in the chain of tourism services; engage with e-marketing and understand how to use the opportunities provided by the new media;understand the economic and legal framework in which to operate; are managers who can act in team oriented fashion. are familiar with knowledge management and are able to keep abreast of the very latest developments

Specialisation (4th, 5th and 6th semester):

Hospitality Management: Students will be confronted with a variety of topics including market positioning & quality management of hotels, budgeting & staffing of facilities, productivity and pricing in F & B

Destination Management : Principles of determining strategies for destination & leisure marketing, including various analyses, strengths & weaknesses profiling, success factor evaluations

40 weeks of employment in a tourism-related field are completed during the course of studies

Double Degree

You will have the opportunity to gain a double degree (a second BA degree) at either Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan - in Years 2 and 3 - or Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain - in year 4 - where you will have the opportunity to increase your language competency in Spanish or Japanese, and to improve your social and intercultural skills, deepen your knowledge about Spain or Japan as a tourism market, as well as strengthening your international network. (you will only pay tuition fees at Salburg UAS rates)
