Programme profile

In the Game Architecture and Design programme, your creative, technological and commercial skills will be trained. In the development of games you will need to develop specific skills to make the right choices in content, design, graphics, storyline and audio. As the programme offers education in close collaboration with the games industry, it is highly practical. Guest lectures and field trips will be organised on a regular basis, and the placement and graduation project enable you to gain a total of twelve months practical experience in real-life, professional environments.

At the heart of the course is the 'Game Lab', a fully equipped development studio in which you work on real assignments from real clients. In a multi-disciplinary group of up to twelve students, you put your knowledge and skills into practice and develop your specialisation. Secured from the games industry, and in a real-life setting, you get to find out what game development is really all about. Throughout the entire programme you will spend an average of one-and-a-half days per week working in the Game Lab. As you progress, the games you produce become increasingly complex.
