Launched in 2011, as Europe's only natural science-based Liberal Arts & Sciences programme, Maastricht University offers a new approach to education in the natural sciences. 

The degree allows students the opportunity to construct a tailor-made curriculum in the natural sciences, with every bachelor graduating with a different multidisciplinary profile. There is a wide variety of classes available in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and several interdisciplinary scientific subjects.

Note: there is a Tuition Fee Waiver, to help students who have limited  financial means

Programme content


In the Maastricht Science Program (MSP) you can construct your own curriculum by choosing modules from a broad offering of science courses in the fields of:

- physics
- chemistry
- mathematics
- biology
- neuroscience
- entrepreneurship

Progression


The university offers a related Masters programme, taught through English, in the following area:

Molecular Life Sciences

You can also prepare to become a medical doctor through UCM. In that case you will opt for a specified range of courses in the Life Sciences concentration (90 ECTS). Your Bachelor of Science degree will then meet the requirements for taking the MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test), which is required for entering a medical school in the US.

Entry Requirements


3 A-levels (CCC). Maths A-Level preferred pls 3 GCSEs [Grades A-C]. Science subjects preferred.

Scottish Students are required to have a SQC with 2 Advanced Highers and at least 4 Highers. Subjects to include Maths.

Six subjects at Leaving Certificate including three at H5. Science subjects preferred. Higher Maths preferred. Min 350 points
